The sun is up, the sky is blue....

The weather was so pretty this weekend and we didn't have any plans, which I was so thankful for. Our days were spent having fun together as a family and enjoying the beautiful weather!

E took a big fall at the park Friday. He was getting in trouble for throwing rocks and was pulling away as M was trying to discipline him. He fell face first on the concrete. Poor boy. But maybe he learned his lesson. Only time will tell. I still think he's handsome, scrapes and all. :)

P and I fist bumping - my first one ever! He is definitely MUCH cooler than me.

Playing hide-n-seek with E-E!

Oh and that's my bro-in-law K holding hands with A, my OTHER sister, not the one he's married to. I think he finds joy in making us feel super awkward at times. Like holding E-E's hand for a picture. Ha!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to enjoy the beautiful weather!

By the way, this video is from the movie Across the Universe. If you love beatles songs, you should definitely check it out!

Spring is here!

Really?!? I have 2 climbers. This stage is getting crazier by the day!

E's face is very sinister. I'm scared to recall what happened next!

J and I were SO excited to be at the Children's Museum. Haha.

Uncle Ta-ta (Yes, you read that right. E named Uncle K "Ta-ta". Oh, and it is here. to. stay. We-read everyone except K-thinks it's HILARIOUS!) had TOO much fun in the fire truck. I think he even cried a little when we told him it was time to go.

Uncle Ta-ta and P.

Aunt E-E came to stay with us while M was out of town. J was SO excited about it!

E & J with the rhino at the zoo! We actually got to go 2 times in the course of a week this month and the kids absolutely LOVED it!

Aunt Winnie (like Winnie Cooper from the Wonder Years. I love it!) giving E a ride.

The kids were EX.HAUS.TED. after a long morning at the zoo. That was perfectly fine with me. I actually had a few moments of peace to look at the animals myself!

J got tubes put in his ears this month and before we got the special ear plugs, we were giving him baths in the sink to decrease the chance of water getting in them. Well, E could not stand the J got to have a bath in the sink and he couldn't. So, I gave in to 35 lb. E and squished him in the other side of the sink. I never knew baths could be so much fun!

I hope everyones March was as fun as ours! Happy April!

Frugal Finds

I usually don't seem to have a whole lot of luck finding things at the thrift store although I try and go pretty often HOPING it will be my lucky day. Lo and behold, Wednesday was that lucky day I had been waiting on!

I have been eying an over the shoulder handbag but didn't want to pay too much for it. I'd seen ones like these on Anthropologie's and Urban Outfitter's websites. I would never actually pay for one from these stores, but I've been looking on their websites recently and finding items I like, then searching for look-a-likes at either Target or the thrift store (I learned this trick from my lovely sister). It's kind of fun and it helps in the shopping process because you kind of know what you are looking for. (Another side note: My sister is ridiculous at finding clothes or using fabric and designing her own clothes - I'll have to convince her to post some of those outfits soon!)

I really like this purse from Urban Outfitters that retails for $58:

And this one from Anthropologie that retails for a whopping $198:

And this is the beauty I found. It was handmade in Italy with genuine leather and I paid a meager $9.99!! I think it bears a pretty striking resemblance and the price made it perfect.

Happy Thrifting everyone!
